I'm a photographer/animator/designer guy. I did my Master's thesis on Voodoo (yes, Voodoo) it was an animation. I've never taken any anthropology classes but I have taken a lot of art history classes. I'd like to find a good Visual Anthropology program. Where should I go? Any suggestions?

Sun, September 11, 2005 - 7:42 AMUniversity of Florida has a good visual anthro program and a nice lab dedicated to VA. They are currently trying to get the lab converted to a completely digital lab, but it seems most people are too busy trying to stay up with other projects. Grad students in the anthro program have been encouraged to write a proposal that could secure a grant to create a really cutting edge lab. Maybe you should come to Florida and write the proposal. :)
