Librarians

I curious about all of your ideas about reference librarians. Do you consult them? What do you think about them? Did you know that your average subject-based reference librarian (such as an anthroplogy reference librarian) at an academic institution often has a MA in Anthroplogy as well as their Masters in Library Science?

Of course I sidle up to my favorite ref librarian when I want something. Or at least I did when I was living in civilization. I had access to one academic library. He could access 8 for me. Now I have access to three, but they will have to do. For the reading I do these days, databases and archives have most of what I want in some semblance of accessibility.
