Question...The Suri Woman wear clay lip plates as a affinal symbol of marriage, but does anny body know this practises origin?

    I'm about as lame as a layman can be, but I remember reading somewhere that it was a way of making them less attractive to other tribes, in an attempt to discourage slavery and such
